Dehydrating racks that stack. Screens protect food from bugs. You can stack as many racks as you want. There is a top screen that goes on top of the final rack. There are also “feet” that prop the stack off the ground so air can circulate underneath and all the way though the stack. Great for preserving summer’s bounty for the winter and it uses NO ELECTRICITY. Let nature do the work.
Make crackers, dried fish, meats, candied fruits and more. Simply lay sliced fruit or vegetables on racks. Stack racks which protect food from insects. Then choose which method you would like to dry.
1) Passive
Place in warm sunshine for 3 days until food is fully dried.
2) Active
Place a small fan on low to blow air across racks, or place racks over your home heating vent. This will greatly speed up the drying process.
